In this episode we speak with ultrarunner and long-time listener to the MTA podcast Eric Strand who recently set the Fastest Known Time on the Katy Trail to raise money for front line hospitality workers. Plus, Coach Angie will share tips on how to mentor a new runner.
Our friend Eric Strand ran the entire Katy Trail in 3 days, 14 hours and 6 minutes. Though the trail is 237 miles long, because of detours due to washed out bridges his total mileage was 245.1. This run helped raise money for Frontline Hospitality Workers who have been impacted by the shutdown. The GoFundMe page has currently $42,485 of a $10,000 goal for the Above and Beyond Foundation.
