A free watch finder that shows its working.
Fitness Watch Match is a free tool from GearUpToFit. You answer nine questions about how you train, your phone, wrist, battery needs and budget, and it ranks the watches in its database with a fixed scoring formula you can read on the methodology page.
Specs, not lab results
The 67 watches here are compared on published specifications: battery rating, case size, weight, sensors, water rating, phone support and list price, compiled from manufacturers' spec sheets (database last updated May 2026). We do not claim to have lab-tested GPS or heart-rate accuracy for every model. Hands-on notes appear on a watch's page only where they exist, and are dated.
Match first, sell second
The quiz exists to match you with the right watch, not to push the highest-commission product. The scoring code never reads what we earn.
Commission-blind ranking
Affiliate links are added after the score is computed. If the #1 match earns us nothing and the #4 match earns us more, the #1 match still wins.
Show the working
Every result lists the points each criterion earned, the trade-offs, and who should skip the watch, so you can disagree with a pick for a reason.
How we make money (and why it doesn't bend the rankings)
When you buy a watch through one of our Amazon links, Amazon pays GearUpToFit a small commission. It costs you nothing extra. That is what keeps this tool free. Links to a manufacturer's own store are plain links that earn us nothing.
The scoring engine is intentionally blind to commission. See the methodology and the affiliate disclosure for details.
Spotted a wrong spec?
Specs change with new revisions and firmware. If a number looks wrong, or a watch you care about is missing, tell us. We will check it against the manufacturer's page and update the date on the database.
