My Story

Gear Up to Fit exists to help runners and everyday athletes make clearer decisions about performance gear, training tools, and evidence-based strategy. The goal is simple: cut through hype, test what matters, and turn complicated product and training decisions into useful guidance you can actually act on.

The turning point came when I realized that my background in analysis could be applied to a problem I cared about deeply: helping people make informed decisions about running shoes, performance gear, recovery tools, and the training methods behind them. I started asking the questions that marketing pages usually avoid: Does this actually perform well in real use? What does the evidence support? Who is it really for? And how does it compare when price, durability, and performance all matter?

In 2020, I founded GearUpToFit to cut through noisy marketing and publish clearer, more useful guidance for runners and everyday athletes. What started as a personal project has grown into a resource focused on running shoes, performance gear, training insights, and practical tools backed by research, testing, and transparent methodology.

My Approach
