What I Love This Week

dyed easter eggs

We are gearing up for a small scale Easter with just the three of us. Luckily, James is still young enough that he won’t know what he’s missing. We bought a small ham, some carrots, and green beans, and I will try to make some good sides from our pantry staples and bake a little something sweet. I’ll hide Easter eggs for James to find and we also have some gifts left over from Christmas that we stored for later, thanks to our overly generous friends and family, so we’ll bring something new up for him to open in his basket. It will be a different kind of holiday but we are looking forward to making memories with our favorite little guy 🙂

Some things I loved this week:

Here is a peaceful video taken over a year, capturing all the animals who used a log to cross a river in Pennsylvania.

Tips for celebrating holidays without family

Daniel and I rewatched the movie Glengarry Glen Ross (available to stream on HBO Go) this week. It’s an amazing movie and a fun watch. It has one of the best casts of all time and is easy to get lost in because the dialogue is so quick.

Watch the cast of Hamilton surprise a young girl whose family had to cancel their plans to see the show on her birthday

Like most of the world, I watched Tiger King recently and while I found it to be pretty interesting television, it was really tough for me to watch because I was so upset with how the animals were treated. 39 of the tigers are now in an animal sanctuary in Colorado. They had a lot of nutritional and health issues coming in, but are now in a place better equipped to take care of them.
