This magnesium works. I have tried so many different kinds and forms of magnesium, trying to find one that works and I keep coming back to this. I take it at night as it certainly helps with sleep, but it also helps with muscle cramps and keeps my magnesium levels in normal range. It tastes horrible, there is no way around that. However, I have found lemon lime Gatorade can almost completely mask the taste and oddly, the fruit punch flavor works pretty well too. Any lemon or lime flavored drink helps quite a bit, but because sports drinks are already formulated to mask the taste of their mineral ingredients, they work best. I recommend giving this magnesium a try if you are struggling with deficiency, it certainly did the trick for me.

GROSS taste - works GREAT. I wouldn't buy 3 bottles next time because 2 are still unopened and will probably expire before i get to use them. The ingredient is literally salt water, but my magnesium levels did increase after taking this consistently for 1 month. Too bad that it made me want to vomit from the taste. If you can get over the taste (mix with water - anything else will ruin the flavor) then i definitely recommend this.

Go to Muscle Cramp Relief. Get a handle on cramps from lack of movement, or age related, or over doing it--you need Magnesium. This is the good stuff, start low once a day and increase until you get the dose just right--or get help from your doctor. I am one person who needs this and I never have enough in my diet. This works for cramping at night. If you used steadily, you avoid cramps entirely. Good luck!

Its me Maggy. This supplement was recommended by my Doctor to see if we could raise my very low magnesium level. I am giving 5 stars because it is what it says it is, and you are forewarned on the taste before you even purchase it. It is a gagging taste, but if you really need Mag, its short lived. You must know that I have a malabsorption issue, so I didn't have much hope. However, I saw a rise in my levels of .1 - this is a low amount, but given my issues it did have an affect. To anyone needing to raise their Mag levels I also suggest Magnesium spray, as your body absorbs the Mag more effectively than if it is digested. Unfortunately the next step for my is Magnesium infusions. If you are healthy and looking for some extra Mag, then this is the product you should try. Magnesium is the most essential mineral our bodies need to survive.
Easier to take than a solid supplement. I was looking for ways to increase my magnesium intake and when taking a solid supplement I did not notice a difference. So if you're looking for a better way to consume magnesium, look no further! This is a game-changer for me. Great product. 3 stars because the caps were busted. I like the product. The product works, but the shipping is always 50/50. I'm not sure why this item ships in bubble mailers without being wrapped in an extra layer of bubble wrap. This form of Magnesium saved my life. Quick fix for Charlie Horses. Wow, this is always ready and in the refrigerator for those night time Charlie-horses that I get in my legs and feet. I take it with B6, it works quickly and is amazing. The taste is awful no matter the brand, that is just how magnesium is. I pour what I need in a small cup and add juice, the I drink it straight down, with another small glass of juice to chase-it. It is very good for muscle cramps!

You have to take 4 to get 400 mg, but with each one a 100mg you can ease into that at 100mg at a time to see how you respond to the supplement. Works like magnesium, not certain on brain benefits. I like the brand. I take magnesium near-daily and have for some time due to my diet. Mostly it's glycinate, though sometimes I'll take some citrate. This is my first experiment with l-threonate.Before I get into this, I am not taking this as directed. I take 2 capsules during the day and usually take a different type of magnesium toward evening. I have about 40 capsules left, so I've taken a bit more than half the bottle so far.Supposedly magnesium l-threonate may give you brain benefits over other types of magnesium. If it does, I'm not sure. It seems to have the same, general magnesium benefits for relaxation, sleep, muscles and nerves, but I don't notice any clear indication that my brain is working better: I'm thinking clearer, faster or am sharper mentally. This could be happening to a small degree, but other changes I've made could lead to this as well, so the waters are muddy there.I'm going to cycle back to magnesium glycinate after I'm done with this bottle, or maybe open up my magnesium optimizer (also by Jarrow -- magnesium malate, b6, potassium and taurine), then come back to this again. See if there's any noticeable difference in my mental capabilities or focus. If I seem to see an association, I'll update this.I like the brand. I've used their Magnesium Optimizer before and was pleased with that (bought another bottle), their fulvic acid / shilajit -- that seemed to work. I'm a fan. Excellent Quality Magnesium Combination Supplement From Nordic Naturals. Nordic Naturals are well known for premium quality Omega-3 supplements but they also make many other supplements also of premium quality. These are no exception. Also a very smart choice in the types of magnesium included. I had done a great amount of research, online medical journal research as well. I was looking for beneficial supplements to help with my currently undiagnosed set of symptoms that seem to be baffling doctors. I needed something to help with muscle twitching and pains, digestive issues and mood. Magnesium can help with all of these, if you take the right types in enough quantity. Imagine my delight when I find out that my favorite brand for Omega-3 also makes a magnesium complex that has the 3 best types for my symptoms! Yes they are a little pricey, but for the quality I think it’s actually a very fair price. You can’t put a price on results either. I’ve had solid results on par with what I would expect from prescription meds. So far they have made noticeable differences and most dramatically in digestive health. I am not a placebo person, in fact I generally overly scrutinize medications. These, in my experience really do help. Obviously your mileage will vary but if you live with symptoms or issues that might benefit from these magnesium types I strongly recommend giving them a shot. Check with your doctor first if you are on other meds, as supplements can interact with traditional meds.

Never had a problem with this brand. I’m in my mid 50s. I take a one a day vitamin from Walmart the Equate men’s 50+ with this Nature’s Bounty 500 mg magnesium every day to help deter muscle spasms, Charlie horses, cramps from working long hours (10-16 hours) especially on a ladder.Also added recently potassium & calcium tablets as well. I try to remember to drink water & eat something throughout the day.When I get really busy I forget. My thigh muscles usually above the knee caps would bulge up to almost the size of my fist & get real hard. The muscle would tighten up almost to the point of breaking my bone or tearing the muscle. Yes this is excruciating pain! It can make you scream & cry! If you find yourself in this situation the quick fix which is not that fast -is room temperature water, vitamins, protein shake or whatever you have on hand that equals this. Peanut butter is high in protein as one example. Also Advil or ibuprofen if it’s real bad. I have taken anywhere from 6 caplets to 12.Take at your own risk! But remember too many will harm your stomach & cause other problems.It could take up to 15 minutes before the pain dissipates! Waiting for the nutrients to take effect. Try walking around until it does dissipate. Sitting or lying down makes it worse! Better then i expected it would be. So i bought this August 11, 2020, its been a little over 30 days and i have to say this is probably the best product i have ever tried to help with anxiety, lets get into details to help those who are looking for relief as well and want to compare symptoms and what this actually helps fix.Right off the back i bought this after doing tons of research and trying to find a something i could take to help with anxiety that would not have adverse side effects and make me feel dependent on any particular medication in order function. My symptoms for anxiety are, tingling of hands and or feet, elevated heart rate, tension headaches, dry eyes, numbness, palpitations, personality changes and arrhythmia. It works. I had these horrible leg cramps at night. I mean my calves, my quads, and my feet would cramp up at night so bad that the muscles would just clench for long periods of time. In June of 2020 I bought some magnesium malate and began using that with minor results. So, four years later I finally started researching the subject more and found out magnesium malate is not absorbed by the body as well as magnesium glycinate so I switched. That was 3 months ago. Since then I have very few cramping episodes. I did have a couple of episodes when I reduced the amount I was taking to 1 tablet a day. I did that because it is possible to take too much magnesium. After reading more about how much magnesium is safe to take I decided it would be okay to take 4 tabs a day. That was about 2 months ago and since then no nighttime cramps. The malate is cheaper that's because it is cheaper and not worth it. As they say, consult your physician to see if it's right for you.

Heart palpitations. I have had heart palpitation for a number of years. Recently, I had a number of tests done for my heart including nuclear stress test, Holter monitor, EKG, echocardiogram and even went to ER thinking I had a heart attack. All came back negative. Had a consultation with a cardiologist and asked him if there's any vitamin supplements I could be taking for the palpitation and he mentioned magnesium oxide and vitamin k2. On the same day that I started to take magnesium oxide, my heart palpitation decreased significantly. I'm not sure why doctors in my previous visits never told me about magnesium? There are a number of different types of magnesium and read that magnesium taurate is the best for heart palpitations. But based on my experience, magnesium oxide works quite well. All the best.
I take magnesium to avoid migraines. I have been taking magnesium for years to deter migraines. I was taking another brand that was a large tablet and difficult to swallow. When I noted that the quality of that product had become less consistent I found these which are far superior. Since I take four a day being able to swallow them easily is a big yhing.
Easy to Swallow. Due to Acid Reflux I can no longer swallow pills well but these capsules are easy to get down. Doc wants me to take 400mg but the 400mg I got was huge & clearly just not happening. So I just take two of these 200's daily for the same outcome with ease. Idk if these will help me or not, only time will tell & then Ill happily tap the 5th star on here? This works wonderful for constipation. I was only going to the bathroom maybe once or twice a week prior to taking this. Once I started taking this, I know go to the bathroom everyday. I feel so much better. Once in awhile If Im constipated I will up the pills from one pill to two pills a day. I usually wake up in the morning have tea with some mct oil, take my magnesium and within an hour I have a bowel movement. I am so relieved. Before I was having to take ballerina tea (sena leaf tea) at least twice a month to go, which always helped me go but it was very painful and drastic. The magnesium is a much better and pain free way to go.
