I ordered both pair in the 2.5 inch, high waist, size Medium. They fit great & aren’t too tight or uncomfortable in the stomach. For reference, I’m 5’7, 135 lbs. I’m not fit & I have a little bit of a tummy pooch. For those complaining about the small, backwards pocket, remember these are running shorts. They’re made for runners & nobody runs with large items in their pockets, nor do they want items bouncing around on their thighs while running. They have the panty liner attached inside but it’s not too tight or uncomfortable either. Great quality, comfortable fit, & I'm happy overall.

They are kind of puffy which isn't the most flattering, but the dolphin hem on the side helps with that. The one downside is the weird pocket - having a zipper pocket is super helpful, but it's sewn in reverse vs forward, so goes backwards towards the rear. Putting things in the pocket is awkward, especially since it's a bit small for a phone. Otherwise these are great!

It feels like I am in between a medium and large, but the mediums are not flattering and the larges look very baggy. I have also noticed that after several hours of wear, the waist band starts feeling very tight and is uncomfortable.I do like that they have a zipper pocket and the built in underwear, but wish the sizing worked out a little better.

I had a bad experience with Fabletics shorts (major riding, ill fitting, butt hanging out type of bad experience). These shorts are so comfortable, I can go out in public in them, they don't ride, they are the perfect length (for me... some people may prefer their shorts a little longer), very flattering and they don't require special care. Wash and dry... you're good to go. I bought 3 pairs and just sent a pair to my sister. I might buy more! I have nothing negative to say about them. I'll see how they wear after a few washes. If anything comes up I'll edit my review!Update: These are holding up well. I prefer to line dry mine because the dryer tends to shape them little weird. They are a comfortable length. Not too long and not too short. I am 5’9 and 174 I got an xl and they are baggy so I can pull them up and down with one hand. Some have pockets which is nice, some don’t. You pay 5.00 for them. I always wash everything before I wear it because you never know where it has been. In factories and shipping containers or whatever so it definitely shouldn’t fall apart in the first wash!!! Definitely disappointed in that. Since I am an amputee and don’t drive exchanging is more bother than it’s worth.

I live in blazing hot summer weather and these shorts are a lifesaver now in our hotter than normal June. I get tons of compliments on these, because they DO compliment one's shape. The zip pockets are super handy for keys, etc, while walking. BTW...the waistband is stretchy but not tight in any way. And I love that the tie ups are concealed inside the waistband. They wash and dry beautifully.(I do use a laundry zip bag because I don't want to mess up the zippers and my washer is kinda old & rough). And look...the choices you have here for a very reasonable price. How can one go wrong with these extremely well made shorts. They are light and sweat wicking, which is fantastic in this sweltering heat we have been having. I don't think I'd utilize them for workouts as they would ride up for me during intense workouts so for that I prefer compression-type biker shorts. But these are wonderful as comfortable casual wear. I disagree with reviews that state these are thin. I don't find them too thin at all. It might be due to the fit, though - these are loose fitting for me. I could have gotten away with a small. The legs would have been more fitted and I would probably have little use for the drawstring in the stretchy waistband. I chose to keep the mediums because I wanted a more relaxed fit and the drawstring makes them fit nicely. The zippered pockets just fit my iPhone without a lot of room to spare. If you have one of the larger phones you may have issues with zipping the pocket with your phone in it. As for the colors, I'm happy with these. They are ever so slightly darker than what appears on the site, but I don't mind that at all. I'd definitely purchase more of these.

I took a chance on these shorts and I'm so glad I did.For reference, I am 5'3", 26" waist, 36" hips, 110 lbs with thinner thighs that are still muscular. I ordered the XS size and they fit perfectly.The waist is somewhat stretchy but it's a flat elastic with a drawstring inside. I like this waistband because it doesn't ride up and make me look like I have a belly. The elastic inside is flat and soft. The drawstring is flat and easily tied.The pockets have zippers and they do fit my Samsung Galaxy phone. It's nice to have gym shorts with secure pockets. The length is perfect. Not too short, not too long. That's important when you're a shorter person. The leg width is also perfect. They are tapered but not tight and also not baggy. I can wear these in public and still look nice and not look like I'm wearing work out gear.I love all the colors in the package. I happened to already have gym shirts that match the pink, blue and purple. The pink shorts are somewhat see through with darker colored panties. Lighter neutral colors do not show. The other colors are not see through.The fabric is very soft, lightweight, cool and comfortable. I have worn these lounging around the house, to the gym, to the grocery store/errands and they are very comfy.I highly recommend these shorts, especially for smaller ladies like myself. They fit my natural waist well and do have a lot of stretch if needed but the elastic is about 1 in wide which could roll if stretch too much.I like the length of the undershorts and they fit nicely, not tight around the leg and don't ride up. The side pocket is easily accessed and the outer shorts are wide for the size. The shorts are a very nice muted red color and I will be purchasing more!

I also wear them for activewear (tennis, walking). The wide elastic waistband is very comfortable. I wear a Torrid size 18 or a 1-2x depending on the style; the XXL I wear in these shorts fits great in my hip, butt and thighs and is a little snug on my belly but still comfortable, I just have a slight indent but most loose fitting tops cover it. I’m trying the 1x next to see if it allows a little more tummy room.The pockets are deep and can fit an iPhone although the shorts do sag a bit with my phone since it’s soft and stretchy material.I regularly play tennis in these shorts and can easily fit 2 balls in the pockets. The longer inseam is much more comfortable and offers more coverage than many other styles. My thighs still sometimes gobble them up an inch or two but a quick side step usually sets them back to normal.

★★★★☆ Great shorts, but check sizes on arrival. These are great shorts made from soft material, just the right amount of stretch and thickness, and they are very comfortable. My measurements put me just between medium and large so I bought several mediums and one large pair. The large were too loose, but fine as pajama shorts. If you're between sizes I would size down. They do tend to ride up between the thighs, but I've never found loose fitting shorts that don't.My complaints are that some shorts have the waist string sewn in unevenly making it hard to properly adjust and tie without having one long hanging string. Also, the dark blue medium pair is larger than the black or gray medium pairs so different colors will not fit the same or be the same size. Lastly, I bought several pairs for summer traveling and thought I had checked them all upon arrival for correct sizes, but after the return period closed I pulled out the last new pair to wear and found it to be the wrong size. Amazon had sent me a large instead of medium, so now I have an extra pair for lounging around the house but it would be very nice to just be sent the sizes I ordered as I have one less pair to wear outside the house.Overall I still like the shorts and will probably order more for next summer when I see them on a good sale.

★★★☆☆ The waist is soooo tight. It's stretchy, but to start it seems like a small. These will not be what I wear to gorge myself on tacos, or to lay in bed with cramps from my moon cycle. Otherwise they are great! Decent length, and they actually have fairly deep pockets.

★★★★☆ Pretty good. These are really soft, stretchy, and fairly comfy. They also have nice big pockets. I wanted something that would look decent enough to wear out of the house, but still be nice to lounge in. The main problem I have is that the wide waistband slides up and is uncomfortable around my waist. I'm 5' 2" and 133 pounds. My hips are about 37 inches and my waist is about 30 inches. I'd rather the shorts stay down lower at or just below my belly button. When they slide up higher, the elastic waist is pretty loose. That might just be how my body is though. I may try a smaller size. I have a size medium. I think they would be great if the waistband wasn't so wide and stiff.

Glad I did because I’m usually a large 10/12 but I don’t think a large would have mad it over my thighs/butt. But super comfortable, fit perfectly over my “mom pooch” from two kids, and the fabric stretches around the thighs! They also have the under wear lining in them. Couldn’t find any reviews that mentioned that so I thought I would. Order 3 pairs for our Disney/Florida trip!
